List of American mobile companies

This is the list of American mobile companies. It covers cell phone brands, wireless carriers/operators, as well as mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) .

  • Apple – makes iPhones and iPads
  • Essential – used to make the Essential phone and wearables
  • Microsoft – used to make Lumia smartphones. It was responsible for the development of Windows CE, Windows Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, and Windows 10 Mobile operating systems.
  • Librem – manufacturer of the privacy-focused Librem 5 USA smartphone.
  • Google – developers of Android operating system, and manufacturers of Google Pixel smartphones. Google also runs the Fi wireless network.
  • AT&T – GSM national wireless carrier providing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services.
  • T-Mobile- GSM national wireless operator providing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services. Acquired Sprint
  • Verizon – CDMA national wireless carrier providing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services.
  • U.S. Cellular – CDMA regional wireless carrier providing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services.
  • C Spire Wireless- regional wireless carrier providing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services
  • Boost Mobile – MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through T-Mobile’s network
  • BLU Telecommunication Inc.- MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through AT&T’s network
  • Cricket Wireless- MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through AT&T’s network
  • H2O Wireless- MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through AT&T’s network
  • Metro – MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through T-Mobile’s network
  • Ting Inc.- MVNO providing prepaid wireless services through T-Mobile’s network
  • TracFone Wireless- MVNO riding on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular wireless networks
  • Sprint – used to be a CDMA carrier, but has now merged with T-Mobile.
