In interesting news, following in the footsteps of Apple, Samsung, and Google, Xiaomi is reportedly developing its own chipset. While the move will lessen dependence on Qualcomm and MediaTek, it will likely also give Xiaomi greater hardware-software integration and control.

Mass production of the chipset is expected to start next year, with phones using it launching in 2025. So, it won’t be too long before we see it and can evaluate how well the new chip performs.
