2023 has been a busy year for the Google Pixel range, especially with the introduction of the first folding Google smartphone and a tablet. This is a departure from the annual retinue of three new Google smartphones. These new devices will ultimately bring the total count to five before the year runs out.
But all Google smartphones of 2023 are yet to be announced: we are still waiting for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Until they go official, we have only three new Google smartphones for now this year.

List of new Google Smartphones of 2023
Let’s have a look at some details of the new Google smartphones of 2023 below.
Pixel 7a
Announced in May 2023, this is the budget Google smartphone of the year 2023. The Pixel A series is where lovers of the brand who do not want to shell out premium money come to play. The pixel 7a is a compact Android smartphone sporting a 6.1-inch OLED display with v protection. It is powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, coupled with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, as well as a 4385mAh battery and 18W fast charging, Power Delivery 3.0, and 7.5W wireless charging.
Pixel Fold
Google’s first folding device showed up in may 2023 with a compact 5.8-inch cover display, but when opened up, you get a 7.6-inch OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. On the inside is the same Tensor G2 chipset, 12 GB RAM, and options of 256 GB and 512 GB of storage. The 4821mAh battery capacity is a little too small for comfort.
While it is one of the most compact book folding devices we have seen, it is still hefty, weighing in at 283g. If you are game, the Pixel Fold is available from $1,870.
Pixel Tablet
The last device on this list of new Google smartphones of 2023 is not exactly a smartphone. The name, Pixel Tablet, speaks for itself. The display is 10.95 inches in size. under the hood is a Tensor G2 chipset. It has 8 GB RAM, options of 128 GB and 256 GB storage, and a massive 7200mAh battery. That is the kind of battery capacity we were expecting in the Pixel Fold – or perhaps something a little smaller.
Anyway, back to the Pixel tablet, there is 15W fast wired charging for topping up the battery. Note that this is a Wi-Fi-only tablet: there is no SIM card slot for carrier connectivity.
Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro on the way
In October, Google will announce the Pixel 8 duo and then we will have the full list the entire line-up of Google smartphones for the year.
